Our Legacy

Over a decade on the global stage. Discover the origins, steady growth, and relentless spirit of Latvian women's lacrosse.

First Steps

In the summer of 2007 at the Saldus parish festival, a truly historic sentiment was voiced:"We want to play lacrosse too!"

The Dream of a National Team

In the fall of 2011, alongside the inaugural Latvian Championship, the vision for a women's national lacrosse team began to take shape. The initial roster united determined players from all local clubs. Although their average playing experience was only about a year, their passion was boundless. Since its formation, the team has proudly competed in 4 European and 3 World Championships. In the summer of 2026, the national team will head to its 4th World Championship, marking its 8th major international appearance overall.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has been and continues to be part of the journey with the Latvian women's national lacrosse team.

"We are immensely grateful for this program—it has forged lifelong friendships, enabled us to travel the globe, and empowered us to grow both as individuals and as elite athletes."
